Education & Experience

Deanna Elkins has loved music from an early age when she started piano at the age of 5 and then violin at age 12. She then received her Bachelor’s in Music Education from the University of Northern Colorado in 2014 with an emphasis in Violin. She has taught private Violin and Viola lessons since 2015 and private piano lessons since 2022.  As well as private music, Deanna was the music teacher at an elementary school in Windsor Colorado for 6 years before her first child was born.  

She is also a member of The Greeley Chamber Orchestra and loves getting to play a range of music with the group each semester.

She loves to teach private students as it provides a great way to continue teaching music as well as raise a family, two things she is very passionate about. 

Deanna has experience teaching beginner-intermediate violin, viola and piano. She especially enjoys teaching the beginner level as kids start to learn and develop their passion for music in a new exciting way! She believes that no matter the age or prior experience anyone can learn to play an instrument and should be given the opportunity.
